Heteroclinus nasutus, known commonly as the Large-nose weedfish in Australia,[2] is a species of clinid in the genus Heteroclinus.[3] It is a subtropical blenny found from Australia to the United States, in the southwestern Pacific Ocean.[3] It was named by A. Günther in 1861, originally under the name Cristiceps nasutus and later under Petraites nasutus,[4] and can reach a maximum length of 9 centimetres.[3]
